It is natural to be scared about treatments when it’s your first time. You worry the treatments may look fake or you’ll be left with a permanent look you hate.
These are understandable concerns; however, there are a lot of myths and misconceptions about these types of treatment.
We want to calm your anxieties and worries and are here to guide you through the exciting world of facial rejuvenation.
Initial consultation
When you arrive at the clinic, you will be made to feel comfortable and offered a drink while you complete the medical form. We like to know a little bit about you, your past medical history and what skin concerns you would like to address on your visit.
If it’s your first time, we take the consultation at your pace, allowing as much time you need to help your reach the right decisions about treatments. This is your time to get a good understanding of what we can offer and the results you can expect to achieve. If you’re happy, we’ll proceed to the actual treatment.
We’ll give you honest and impartial advice based on our years of experience treating patients. We never put pressure on our patients to make a quick decision, you can book in at a later date for the actual treatment. We want you to be happy before you start your aesthetic rejuvenation journey with us.
Your Treatment
You’ll be asked to relax on the couch, and once you are settled, the treatment will begin. If we are carrying out treatments that may involve discomfort, you’ll be offered a numbing cream and ice to prevent pain, bruising or swelling.
We find our clients also benefit from holding a stress ball and listening to peaceful music to take their mind off the treatment. Your treatment time will last from 20-40 minutes.
Aftercare
You will be given clear information on after-care – written and verbally. If there has been any bruising or swelling, you may be advised about medication to help reduce this, and you can take an ice pack with you.
In most cases, any swelling will be resolved within 1-2 hours post-treatment. A lot of our treatments can be done over your lunch break, and you can return to your normal activities straight away.
We offer a two week follow up review for patients when after photos will be taken. We also welcome any calls or queries after your treatment and before your two weeks review.
We welcome you to have direct contact with your doctor for extra support if needed.

Common Questions
No – Anti-wrinkle injections relax wrinkles. They smooth the skin by treating overactive muscles underneath. Once these muscles stop contracting, with the gentle treatment, the lines above are no longer formed on the face.
Fillers smooth out wrinkles and deeper grooves by replacing the collagen lost over time. If you have a permanent line on your face, even when you are not contracting the muscle underneath, then a filler can be used to smooth this out.
Dermal fillers and Anti-wrinkle injections can often be used together in a target area to provide dramatic results. For example, in the cross-frown look (lines in-between the eyebrows).
No – Look Lovely focuses on providing natural-looking results by using the smallest doses possible to get the desired end result. The clinic simply builds on the beauty you already have.
Fillers are very natural; most people won’t ever guess you’ve had them. They will simply assume you have had a facial or a great night’s sleep.
Anti Wrinkle Injections work over two weeks as a gradual process, most people will assume you have been away on holiday and simply look more rested and refreshed.
N0 – You can go straight back to work or home to your family after treatment.
Anti-wrinkle injections create slightly raised red bumps for a maximum of 10-30 minutes. In rare circumstances, a bruise can occur which takes 3-5 days to clear but can easily be covered with concealer.
Filler injections cause mild redness around the skin for about 10 minutes before settling. Again in rare circumstances, bruising can occur and if it does the area can be covered with concealer easily.
