What is HIFU Non surgical fat reduction?
The Ultraformer III is a high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device that is designed to reduce adipose (fatty) tissue, promote contouring and stimulate skin rejuvenation.
Our medical-grade device delivers ultrasound energy at precise depths of the tissue. This creates heat which stimulates the break down of fat and promotes tissue remodelling in the body, helping to lift and tighten loose skin.

How does it work?
The Ultraformer III uses high-intensity ultrasound to heat targeted areas, creating a coagulating effect on the deeper layers of the skin. We use multi-depth cartridges to directly transfer ultrasound energy into the deeper layers of the treated area to trigger collagen renewal and fat breakdown.
MMFU (Mirco Macro Focused Ultrasound) technology transfers an equal distribution of ultrasound energy into the subcutaneous tissue, getting the temperatures to 65-75°C. This heat causes fat reduction by shrinking stubborn fat cells that are difficult to burn off, even through strenuous exercises and weight-loss regimens. Although the temperature is high for the break down of fat, the top layer of the skin is not affected, so there is no burning or discomfort after the procedure.
The results from the first HIFU treatment is an immediate visible tightening and lifting effect. The treatment continues to work for up to several months, further stimulating your collagen production. Patients will see long-lasting lifting and tightening and a reduction of fat in the area for some time after the session.
Our aesthetician can vary the intensity of the treatment and control the depth that the device delivers the energy. Ranging from 13mm-6mm, we can treat on both a superficial level and a much deeper level for varying results, depending on the individuals’ concerns.

What to expect from the treatment?
Average fat reduction treatment times range from 15 to 40 minutes. No downtime is needed post-treatment as you can return to work or attend a yoga class on the same day. Ultrasound gel will then be applied, and the treatment will start.
You will feel the heat and a mild tingling sensation as the device is moved over the skin. It can feel like a hot elastic band on your skin, and should only be minimally uncomfortable. Your aesthetician can go slowly and reduce the intensity if you feel any discomfort.
You will notice positive changes following the procedure, which will gradually enhance over 4-12 weeks, depending on your treated area. Some patients may experience slight redness and swelling on the treated areas ranging from a few hours up to a few weeks. There may be some temporary bruising and numbness on the areas treated, but this clears quickly.
Approximately three treatments are recommended to achieve the desired results. Up to 3 cm of fat can be removed.
