Polynucleotides are tiny purified molecules injected into the skin which encourage it to maintain its youthful appearance. They are commonly referred to as biostimulators or biorevitalisers. This injectable is a cosmetic treatment quickly gaining popularity due to its ability to promote skin regeneration and encourage revitalisation naturally.
What do Polynucleotides do for your skin?
Polynucleotides help your skin to heal, repair and glow! By stimulating your cells to produce their own collagen and elastin, they will improve skin quality, firmness and elasticity. Polynucleotides are great for reducing fine lines, wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes. We also recommend the treatment if you are looking for help with any acne scarring or rosacea.
Where can I have Polynucleotides?
This injectable product can be used for the face, along with the neck and decolletage areas. We also offer a specialised Polynucleotide injectable designed specifically for the delicate eye area.
Are polynucleotides natural?
Yes! Polynucleotides are of natural origin and derived from European freshwater fish intended for human consumption, which most closely resembles human DNA.
How often should I have a Polynucleotide treatment?
For best results, we recommend that patients opt for a course of 3-4 treatments. You practitioner will always tailor your treatment plan specifically to your skin and desired outcome.
What can you expect after a polynucleotide treatment?
You can expect improved skin texture, tone and hydration. Polynucleotide’s are particularly great for acne scarring, and reducing any redness created by Rosacea.
How long do the results last?
Typically, the effects of these treatments last 6 to 12 months. Regular treatments can provide more noticeable and long-lasting results.
What other treatments would you recommend alongside Polynucleotide injectables?
Polynucleotides not only rejuvenate your skin on their own, but they also enhance other treatments as they create a brilliant foundation. Polynucleotides are best teamed with other treatments for ultimate results.
What is the cost?
A course of 3 treatments is required, and costs £895 for the package. Each treatment is one month apart. Your practitioner will advise on your recommended treatment plan during your consultation.

My First Time Getting Lip Filler (or any injectable!)
I have always been a very indecisive person, whether it be what to have for breakfast or what to wear to work I always factor in time to ‘make up my mind’ every day. Sometimes what I think I want is just a phase (think florescent dip dyed hair or yellow fur lined crocs), but I had been conscious of my lips for as long as I can remember.
I love a bold red lip look on others, but I always stop myself when I get to that point in my own makeup routine. I’ve never had the confidence to draw attention to my mouth in case I look silly accenting something that isn’t there to begin with! However ultimately it wasn’t wallowing in some sort of lip-less self-loathing bubble that prompted me to finally book in for filler (I had survived 26 years just fine and had become a dab hand at lip lining within that time), it was finding a clinic that made me feel welcome and a practitioner who really got me!
Finding The Right Clinic
After sifting through an abundance of London aesthetic clinics I came across Look Lovely London. Their reviews were what stood out to me first – with over 350 5-star reviews it clearly wasn’t just employees leaving these! I’m a sucker for a before and after picture so straight away I tracked down the Look Lovely London Instagram and TikTok pages. What I really appreciated was that along with these photos they had several detailed videos of Doctor Davina and her team explaining their treatments in a very genuine and transparent way. As someone who has never had any kind of aesthetic treatment done I was nervous of making changes to my face, but I liked how their practitioners described the process as ‘creating’ and how collaborative their approach seemed. I thought maybe a consultation in person might help me find out once and for all if my hopes were silly or realistic.
During my consultation with Hannah, I almost managed to forget that I was a total novice who knew very little about filler because as a Nurse she was able to answer all my questions and fully outline where the filler does and definitely does not go! She took a picture of my own lips and talked me through the specifics in lots of detail, marking the shape I wanted and where she thought she could inject to achieve that shape. With my concerns being my top lip and my hopes of gaining a more well-defined cupids bow; it was nice to speak to someone who was just as detail orientated about my mouth as I was!
To my surprise, lip filler is a lot less painful than I expected it to be! The process itself isn’t exactly comfortable, but it’s far from unbearable. Hannah started by applying a thick layer of numbing cream to my lips and left it to work for about 10 minutes which I think really helped. In certain areas I felt more of a sting than others, but it was only a small pinch for a split second as the needle went in. Wincing was minimal, my stress ball was still intact by the end and the treatment itself only took about 15 minutes. Hannah gave me an icepack to apply right away and an extra one to take home too. I was worried about bruising and asked for her opinion in terms of what I could buy myself from the pharmacy just as a precaution – it was a Thursday afternoon and I didn’t want to cancel my weekend plans! She suggested Arnica and I would also highly recommend this as it really helped.
The 48 hours after
That evening, my lips – especially the upper – were definitely swollen! One side actually appeared larger than the other, but I reminded myself that Hannah had said this was completely normal and that it did not mean one side had been filled more than the other. She was correct and my swelling had gone down significantly by the next morning. I did have a bruised upper lip but luckily it only appeared on the lip itself (no moustache bruise in sight) so it was really easy to cover up with a little bit of lip colour. We all tend to overanalyse our faces but honestly, I didn’t receive a single strange look in Sainsburys or on the tube!
Over the next two weeks my lips settled into a new yet still very natural looking shape! Now I finally have a cupids bow and rather than looking ‘full up’ my lips simply have a nourished plump look. My top lip no longer disappears when I smile, which has only encouraged me to smile even more! If you are thinking about lip filler (or injectables in general) I highly recommend booking a consultation. I was only confident enough to go through with my treatment because Look Lovely London made me feel understood and safe – they have a personal yet professional approach which made me trust their team every step of the way. I have no regrets except I almost want a little more!

Long gone are the days when ‘getting work done’ was synonymous with surgery, or extreme transformations that compromised the face’s natural contours, structure, and beauty.
The vast majority of us do not want our cosmetic treatments to speak for themselves. We want gentle yet tangible results. We also want those results to work with our natural beauty, maintain our facial structure, and give off an air of good health, youthfulness, and vitality that age and stress may have begun to undermine.
Fortunately, revolutionary developments in the world of non-surgical cosmetic procedures are designed with this nuance in mind; they seek to revive lost collagen and structure, and to rejuvenate the face in a way that screams “long weekend in St Tropez”, rather than “overnight stay and six weeks’ recovery”.
With that in mind, achieving the best results still relies on you choosing an excellent practitioner who understands the subtleties of facial anatomy, and holds the wealth of experience necessary to realise the full benefit dermal fillers can offer.
Dr Davina Wilson and the team have considerable experience in offering patients the best outcome from their procedures. Here are a few of the ways dermal fillers can be used to achieve natural results.
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are an incredibly popular injectable solution of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that occurs naturally within the body – and particularly within the skin’s collagen stores, where it can create a firmness, elasticity, and a smoother texture.
Unfortunately, as we age, this collagen is gradually lost, which is why we all begin to experience visible changes in our faces, from fine lines and wrinkles to sagging, and a more hollow, undefined appearance. This process begins from the age of around twenty-five, but it tends to become more obvious in our thirties.
By introducing this hyaluronic acid back into targeted areas within the face through a series of non-invasive injections, we can offer patients significant, natural results that reverse the signs of ageing, and add plumper, more youthful look back into the face.
Dermal fillers can be used to improve lost depth around the delicate eye area (tear troughs), to smooth out wrinkles that appear along the nose to mouth area (nasolabial folds), or restore cheek contouring. They can also be used to create greater definition around the chin, jawline, and temples, and add more fullness back into the lips.
They can also be used as an effective alternative to the surgical rhinoplasty, and offer a non-invasive option for anyone looking to ‘smooth out’ any bumps in the bridge of their nose.
Dermal fillers typically last for up to 18 months, but returning for yearly ‘top-up’ treatments often encourages the body to begin to produce more of its own natural collagen over time.
Remember that Less is More
It is a common misconception among new patients and inexperienced practitioners alike that achieving obvious results requires a large amount of filler.
In reality, remarkable results can be achieved with very little filler, sometimes only 1-2 ml. When treating lips at the clinic, we use 1ml, which is 1/5th of a teaspoon. However, this amount can give lips a noticeably plumper more contoured look. We always avoid the trout pout or sausage over-filled look.
Capturing your natural beauty does not need to rely on large quantities of filler – or any other cosmetic treatment or surgery, for that matter. The right approach is much more nuanced and requires a great deal more finesse than using as much filler as possible in problematic areas.
Consider Your Entire Face – Not Just the Specific Area That Bothers You
We are all guilty of occasionally standing a little too close to the mirror, and scrutinising every part of our faces individually – looking for those imperfections that, under bright lighting and intense magnification, make us unhappy.
Other people, however, do not look at us in the same way. They see the entirety of our face, from its shape and structure to the natural flow of our features.
As such, focussing your attention on improving one area of your face is not the way to achieving the most natural results. Those experienced in performing these procedures have the right eye for understanding facial anatomy, and how best to work with your face as a whole, rather than as a collection of separate pieces.
An example of taking a more holistic approach to assessing the face is when we focus on the nose to mouth lines ( nasolabial folds). These folds develop as soft tissue and structures from around the mid-face area and cheeks have dropped down. If the practitioner only focuses on injecting filler in the grooves, the actual cause root of the problem (the sagging from above) has not been treated, which can lead to short-lasting or unnatural results. The experienced practitioner knows the most important areas in the face to treat to support other facial structures and create a lift.
Any procedure needs to be approached from a broader perspective – one that understands both the science and the artistry necessary for maintaining balance, and ensuring that you feel comfortable with the results.
Remember that Not All Fillers are Created Equal…
Owing to the incredible popularity of filler injections, there is a huge variety of products on the market – many of which will vary drastically in price, and the nature and quality of the ingredients used. While many will be perfectly safe and capable of producing good results, others may not have been created under strict conditions for quality control and hygiene and could cause significant problems for you if they are injected into your face.
Any good practice will utilise only the highest quality products on the market. We source our fillers from leading companies, including Luminera, Merz and Galderma. These products are extensively tested, 100% vegan, and subject to stringent quality control to ensure that every patient is kept safe and that their investment into their appearance is not wasted.
Respected clinics will always value the safety of their patients, and will invest in high-quality fillers to ensure that the results live up to your expectations.
…And neither are practitioners
Dermal fillers are a fantastic option for anyone unhappy with a lack of volume, elasticity, firmness or definition in their face. Still, they require a great deal of skill and understanding from your practitioner, and this proficiency is not something that you will find everywhere.
Achieving natural results is dependent on you putting your trust into the hands of practitioners who understand the ins and outs of the procedure itself, and who hold an impeccable track record of performing this treatment on patients who were pleased with the results. Dr. Wilson also trains other doctors in advanced aesthetics as she has 11 years of injecting experience.
Perform your due diligence by checking out honest client reviews, before and after photographs, and taking a look at the certifications that the practice holds. If they have managed to build up a loyal clientele, then this is an excellent sign that they are consistently meeting the high expectations of their customers, and that they are trusted and respected within the community.
Book a Consultation Ahead of Your Appointment
Any worthwhile clinic will ensure that you are going into the process with your eyes open and that you understand what you should expect to achieve from the procedure. There, you will be able to discuss any concerns or questions and explain to your practitioner what results you would like to see.
Similarly, they will be able to take a good look at your facial anatomy, listen to your thoughts, and explain to you what they believe they will be able to achieve during your first procedure, and never over-sell.
Rushing into any cosmetic procedure – whether it is dermal fillers or a four-hour surgery – is never advisable, and your doctor will not want to proceed with the treatment before they are confident that you are realistic about the results and ready for the procedure itself.
If your practitioner is willing to rush straight into performing the treatment, then they will have skipped many important steps. In a way, this is akin to going into the procedure blind; they may inject too much, or focus too closely on one specific area without considering your entire face. We always carry out a free consultation before a treatment. You are encouraged to take time, if you need, before booking in for the procedure knowing all your options.
As with any procedure, the value of the results lies in the preparation as much as it does the treatment itself. Natural results are achieved through a certain amount of finesse, and a level of care which is lost when the practitioner rushes through the treatment.

How long do fillers last for?
The lasting effects of dermal fillers depends on the area treated, however results typically last from 12-18 months. One of the main benefits of using dermal fillers is that results can be seen straight away after having treatment. It usually takes about a week for the filler to settle and the final result can be seen after 10 days.
How long does it take and how much does it cost?
The procedure for inserting dermal fillers is very quick. Treatment typically takes approximately 30-40 minutes, which is why it is famous for being a lunchbreak procedure!
Typical costs start from £280 for 1 syringe and £460 for 2 syringes, depending on requirements.
What types of dermal fillers are there?
Look Lovely London uses Restylane. However, if you have another brand favourite, Dr Wilson has been trained in all popular brands and is happy to discuss administration of your preferred brand.
Can dermal fillers be used whilst pregnant?
There is currently insufficient scientific research to suggest whether it is safe or not to use dermal fillers while pregnant. In this case, we would suggest that you wait until you are no longer pregnant and have finished breastfeeding before using dermal fillers.
What are the side effects?
The main side effects of dermal fillers are slight swelling and redness which can occur straight after the procedure. This normally disappears after ten minutes. Some bruising can also occur if the filler is being administered into the lip area, as this is more vascular than other parts of the face. However we provide icepacks straight after treatment to minimise bruising.
At Look Lovely London, we strongly advise that you spend the time to find a reputable practitioner who is properly qualified. This is important as it will help put your mind at ease, knowing you are in safe hands.

Whether your lips are naturally thin, or have lost their fullness over time as a result of ageing, you may have considered having lip fillers. Not everyone is born with luscious lips and even those who are experience a reduction in the plumpness of their pout over time.
The older you get, the less collagen you produce, which is why people often notice a change in the shape and size of their lips as they age. However it’s not only ageing that can have an effect; the sun’s ultraviolet rays can also cause collagen to break down and lips to thin.
If you want to keep your naturally full lips, or wish you could enhance the ones you were born with, you might want to consider dermal fillers. We understand that with any procedure there is always a concern with potential side effects, which is why we have put together this simple guide to ensure you have all the information you need before you decide if dermal fillers are right for you.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are soft tissue filler which can be injected into the skin to give a smoother, fuller appearance. Look Lovely London uses Restylane to enhance the lip area and provide border definition in order to achieve either a glamorous or natural look, whichever you prefer.
The main component of the fillers we use is hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a naturally occurring substance found in all living organisms. Hyaluronic acid is a natural moisture-binding ingredient that keeps skin plump and hydrated.
How long do lip fillers last?
The length of time dermal fillers last for can vary from patient to patient, however fillers which have been applied to the lip area using one of the brands supplied by us should last between 6-12 months.
How much do lip fillers cost?
Look lovely London is currently offering first time customers a special price of £250 for a 1 ml syringe of dermal filler. This amount of filler is usually adequate for treatment.
Are there any side effects from dermal fillers?
Virtually anyone can have lip fillers if they are looking to reduce lines and wrinkles or create more defined, fuller lips, and side effects are very minimal. As the main component within the fillers we use is a naturally occurring substance, the risk of side effects is much smaller.
The most common reaction to fillers is swelling, which usually disappears within 4-5 days. As the lip area is more vascular than other parts of the face, bruising can often be slightly more noticeable, however an icepack will be provided straight away after the procedure to minimise any bruising and swelling.
If you think lip fillers might be for you, or would like further information on any of our treatments, give us a call on 0203 199 8245 and start your journey to a new, more confident you!
No matter how old we are, there’s always something we would change about our appearance. Whether it’s losing weight, toning up, changing our hair or getting our nails done, looking after our appearance is key to our self-confidence.
However, one of the main causes of low self-esteem amongst men and women of a certain age is that with all the best intentions, it can feel impossible to stop the signs of ageing.
One of the most common areas on the face which can start to change as a person ages is the lip area. Fine lines can appear around the mouth, and lips themselves can start to thin over time.
Ageing around the lip area is very common and something which many of us would want to improve given half the chance.
The great news is that you can instantly reduce the signs of ageing around the lip area, simply by undergoing a few lip-plumping injections, also known as lip fillers.
Lip fillers are very commonplace these days, with many celebrities opting to plump up their lips to maintain a glamorous and youthful appearance. And since the treatment isn’t too expensive, you don’t have to be a celebrity to enjoy having a younger looking pout.
We’ve prepared this short guide on dermal fillers for the lip area and explained a little more about the procedure, how much it costs and what to expect after the treatment.
What is dermal filler and how does it work?
Dermal fillers work to simply replace the collagen around the lip area that has been lost over time. You undergo a few small injections of filler to the lips and the results can be seen almost immediately, although the full results usually take effect about ten days after your treatment.
Here at Look Lovely London, our dermal filler is made up of Emervel and Restylane, both of which have been designed to give you plump, glamorous lips and a new youthful appearance.
Fillers are made up of a soft gel that contains hyaluronic acid, which is actually found in human collagen, so you can be sure that the results will look natural. The filler itself is also completely biodegradable so your body will naturally break it down over time.
How much do lip plumping injections cost?
When it comes to lip filler injection costs, UK clinics’ fees can vary quite dramatically, ranging from the very cheap to the vastly expensive, both of which we would strongly advise against. Here at Look Lovely London, our prices start from £280 for one syringe of filler and £460 for two syringes, depending on requirements.
Are there any side effects from dermal fillers?
If you’re worried about having lip filler injections, side effects are usually pretty minimal so there is no cause for concern. However, it’s important to remember that lips are more vascular and are more likely to bruise than other areas on the face.
We usually advise our customers to block out a period of about ten days in the diary just in case there is any bruising that they may be likely to feel self-conscious about.
Bruising usually disappears within three to five days after your treatment and our team will always supply you with an ice pack before your treatment which will minimise any bruising, and you can also apply an ice pack to the lip area at home.
Although bruising is more common with lip plumping injections, you can rest assured that dermal fillers are extremely safe and complications are usually pretty rare.
If your thinning lips are getting you down, dermal fillers can really help to restore your natural appearance. And since our policy at Look Lovely London is to avoid the ‘trout pout’ at all costs, you can be absolutely sure that the results will be completely natural looking and nobody will ever need to know that you’ve undergone lip fillers.
Get in touch with our team today on 0203 199 8245 and treat yourself to a new glamorous pout that’ll take years off your age and put a youthful spring back in your step!
No matter what age or gender you are, we all share one thing in common: nobody wants to look older than their years. Indeed, many of us don’t even want to look our actual age and will spend a lot of money to look ten years’ younger.
One of the first signs of ageing, something which in its early stages may only be visible to yourself, is that your lips slowly start to thin over time. Thin lips can add years to your age and are a sure sign that your skin is starting to lose its vitality and youth. The great news is that there is a procedure you can undergo to not only halt the visible signs of ageing but also give your face more definition and a glamorous but all-natural-looking pout.
Lip fillers for thin lips are hugely popular. Since the treatment takes just a few minutes and has long-lasting effects, the procedure is extremely popular for men and women of all ages.
But what are lip fillers? Let’s take a closer look.
How can dermal fillers for thin lips work?
Since fillers contain hyaluronic acid which is found in human collagen, fillers for the face are designed to enhance your facial features as opposed to changing them altogether or dramatically changing the way that you look. By undergoing a few small injections into your lips, you can create a younger, plumper pout within minutes.
Here at Look Lovely London, we use two well-known filler brands: Emervel and Restylane. The fillers are biodegradable so your body will break it down over time and the procedure itself is extremely safe. However, as with all non-surgical enhancements, there are a few minor side effects which very occasionally a patient might experience, the details of which are below.
What are the side effects associated with lip fillers?
Many patients will not experience any side effects whatsoever but the most common side effect associated with lip fillers is minor swelling and redness. However, this is usually short-lived and will disappear after a few minutes.
Since lips are more vascular than other treatable areas on the face, you may find that small bruising develops across the lip area. This will usually disappear within 3-5 days of your treatment and you will be offered an ice pack during and after your treatment to keep bruising to a minimum. Since the main side effect associated with lip fillers is minor bruising, we always recommend to our patients that they plan their diary in advance to allow for this, just in case.
The most important thing to remember is that when it comes to lip fillers, pain is usually very minimal. You may experience a little discomfort when the needle is administered into the lip but since the procedure takes just a few minutes, any minor pain you might experience will only last for a short while.
How much do lip fillers cost?
There are many clinics across the UK offering lip fillers and prices can vary wildly. If you’re centrally based, lip filler prices in London certainly do range from the very cheap to the very expensive, and we would always recommend that you avoid both.
When it comes to any non-surgical enhancements, it’s important to do your research and put your trust in a clinic which is going to look after you, explain the procedure and, above all, charge you a reasonable and competitive rate for the procedure. Here at Look Lovely London, we charge just £280 for 1ml of lip filler.
If you’re unsure about having lip fillers, or you have any concerns about the procedure, our team at Look Lovely London is here to help. You will be offered a free no-obligation consultation to discuss the procedure in more detail and ask any questions you might have. It will also give our experienced doctors the opportunity to review your lip area and make the necessary recommendations.
Our ethos is to only give our patients what they actually need and we don’t believe in overdoing fillers where it isn’t necessary, so you can be sure that you’ll leave our clinic looking younger and, most importantly, completely natural.
Contact our team today on 0203 199 8236 and get yourself well on your way to having an all-natural pout you can be proud of!
Dermal fillers are commonly used to correct lines, scars or lack of definition on the skin. But dermal fillers do not just correct problematic skin; they can also dramatically improve the look of your face by adding fillers into your cheeks.
Dermal fillers for cheeks are extremely popular. Rather than opting for invasive and expensive cosmetic surgery, dermal fillers for cheeks are a fantastic way of framing and defining your face and instantly taking years off your appearance.
Dermal fillers for cheekbones creates a more defined, youthful look and can dramatically improve your facial features.
How do dermal fillers for the cheeks help?
Over time, natural aging kicks in and you start to wear your age on your face. It can be disheartening to watch your appearance change over time and you can become quite self-conscious about your facial appearance. Dermal fillers are an affordable, non-invasive way to stop the aging process simply by having a series of small injections to the skin.
Dermal fillers can fill your cheeks out, especially if they have become flat and saggy over time, and the great news is that nobody needs to know that you have undergone cosmetic treatment. The results are subtle to everyone around you, but to you they will be immediately obvious. Results last up to 12 months so you do not need to make regular trips to the clinic to keep on top of your new and improved look.
Can anyone benefit from having dermal fillers for cheeks?
Absolutely. Dermal fillers for cheeks can make a vast improvement to anyone’s face. However, if you have a skin breakout or any kind of inflammation on the skin, we would recommend that you wait for this to clear up before undergoing dermal filler treatment on your cheeks.
Which dermal fillers are intended for the cheeks?
When it comes to using the best dermal filler for cheek augmentation, our consultants at Look Lovely London know exactly what they’re doing. We use Emervel and Restylane which we believe are the very best dermal fillers for cheeks. Fairly new to the market, Emervel creates the most natural-looking results thanks to the hyaluronic acid ingredient which is also found in human collagen.
Once the treatment has been injected into the cheek, it is designed to pull in water to hydrate the skin, giving you an immediately refreshed look. Not only does dermal filler contain natural collagen designed to turn back the clock, it also contains antioxidant qualities which moisturise your skin much more effectively than even the most expensive, top brand moisturiser.
Do dermal fillers hurt?
Most patients do not experience any pain when they have dermal fillers. Some report mild discomfort while the needle is inserted into the skin but the pain is short-lived and minimal.
If you have a low pain threshold, our team will suggest that you use numbing cream on the cheek area before the treatment is administered. This can help to minimise any discomfort during treatment. The filler also contains a mild anesthetic so when the needle makes contact with the skin, you will hardly feel a thing. We will always supply ice packs after dermal filler treatment which can be used to minimise any bruising.
Are there any side effects to dermal fillers for cheeks?
You may experience a little minor swelling or redness immediately after your treatment but this typically disappears within about ten minutes. Many of our patients are able to carry on with their day as normal after having dermal fillers administered.
Although minor bruising can occur, any serious complications with dermal fillers are extremely rare but if you have any concerns about your treatment, our team will put your mind at ease.
How much do dermal fillers for cheeks cost?
If you are a first timer to dermal fillers, we offer an introductory fee of £250 for 1 syringe of filler. If you choose to come back for additional treatments then the cost per treatment starts at just £280 for 1 syringe.
If you’re new to cosmetic treatment and are feeling nervous, please get in touch. Our team will explain the procedure in full and will answer any questions you might have. Contact us on 0203 199 8236 to find out how dermal fillers can immediately improve the way you look at yourself.
We’ve all been there; spending hours in front of the mirror agonising over our facial flaws. But what is the number one complaint for men and women of a certain age? Yes, you guessed it: frown lines.
Frown lines on a forehead can instantly age a person’s face. Over time your skin loses elasticity and, as the natural collagen starts to break down, frown lines start to take over. But millions of men and women worldwide are now enjoying younger, fresher and brighter-looking skin, thanks to super-simple dermal filler treatment.
How do dermal fillers reduce frown lines?
Once the dermal fillers are gently injected into the forehead, it quickly starts to pull in water, which fully hydrates the skin, smoothing out lines and giving a fresher appearance.
Not only do dermal fillers reduce frown lines, the treatment also has antioxidant benefits meaning that the skin appears smoother and brighter. In fact, the results from dermal filler treatment are always far more effective than using an expensive, top-brand moisturiser.
Do dermal fillers on the forehead hurt?
Most patients do not experience any pain from dermal fillers on their forehead except for minor discomfort when the needle is inserted into the skin. Our expert team at Look Lovely London is skilled and experienced in administering sensitive and gentle injections, so any pain or discomfort is kept to an absolute minimum.
The dermal filler also contains a local anesthetic which numbs the skin to ensure that any sensation felt when the needle is injected is very minor. Our team also provides specially designed mini ice packs after dermal filler treatment which can be placed on your forehead to reduce and minimise any bruising or swelling.
Can anyone have dermal fillers for frown lines?
Yes. We have administered dermal fillers for men and women of all ages.
However, if you have any acne or breakouts on your skin, we do recommend that you wait for this to calm down before you undergo any dermal filler treatment. We also cannot administer dermal fillers to pregnant women or breastfeeding mums so it’s best to postpone your dermal filler treatment until your body is back to its normal self.
Are there any side effects from dermal filler treatment?
You may experience minor redness or swelling to the forehead after dermal filler treatment but this usually disappears quickly.
Most of our patients find that after a short period of time they are able to get on with the rest of their day without anyone knowing that they have just undergone dermal filler treatment. Some people even pop out to visit us on their lunch break, heading back to work feeling revived and refreshed.
It really is that simple!
When will you see results and how long do the results last?
You will see instant results after your treatment has been administered. However, increased results will be noticeable during the 10 days or so following your treatment. After 10 days have passed, you’ll be looking and feeling your very best. Results can last from between six and twelve months so you do not need to worry about having to have the treatment on a regular basis.
When it comes to reducing frown lines on aging foreheads, dermal fillers really are a superb option. Not only is the procedure non-invasive and almost completely pain free, the results can be seen for months after the treatment, delivering a huge, long-lasting boost to your confidence.
As with any cosmetic treatments, you are bound to feel slightly anxious and maybe a bit cautious. Many of our patients feel a little uneasy, especially if it is their first experience of having dermal filler treatment. Our team members are skilled, friendly and understanding and can put your mind at rest by answering any questions you may have, so you can book your appointment with confidence.
